Rockstar's Kortz Center Heist launched in GTA Online on July 14, 2026, rolling out across all platforms at roughly 10am BST / 5am ET as part of Title Update 1.73. First announced via the Rockstar Newswire on June 17 as the 'next big score', it is the first genuinely new heist added to GTA Online since The Cayo Perico Heist in December 2020 — a gap of more than five years.
What the Heist Involves
The heist centres on the Kortz Center, an art museum in Pacific Bluffs. Players link up with the mysterious Mr. Faber and his chief fixer Raf De Angelis to stake out the museum, plan an approach, and steal its most valuable exhibits. It's a multi-stage job with multiple approach options, playable solo or with up to four players.
The Entry Cost
Starting the heist requires owning a Prix Luxury Mansion upgraded with an Art Studio, which costs $4,700,000 through the in-game website. That steep buy-in follows the established GTA Online pattern of gating major heist content behind a property purchase.
Likely the Last Big Update Before GTA VI
With GTA VI arriving November 19, the Kortz Center Heist is widely seen as GTA Online's final major storyline update. Title Update 1.73 covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even PS4 and Xbox One — a send-off for the game that has carried Rockstar's live-service business for thirteen years while attention shifts to Leonida.
