On June 24–25, 2026, alongside the launch of pre-orders, Rockstar published a batch of 63 official high-resolution screenshots for Grand Theft Auto VI. The images are the most detailed official look at the game to date, and they reveal a significant amount about the visual quality, character options, and world design.

Character Customisation on Full Display

A large portion of the screenshots focus on protagonist customisation. Jason and Lucia each appear in dozens of outfit, hairstyle, and tattoo combinations. Named in-game businesses visible in the screenshots include Sara's Unisex Salon and Electric Fang Tattoo Shop — suggesting a Vice City with real named establishments players can visit to change their look.

Vehicles and Weapons

Several car-focused screenshots show detailed vehicle models with visible rims, decals, lights, and steering wheels — all of which appear to be customisable. A dedicated car showcase mode seems to be present in the UI. Weapon screenshots feature revolvers with distinctive cosmetic touches, pointing to a deeper weapon customisation system than the series has offered before.

Vice City Environments

Location shots show a Vice City that feels dense and layered — neon-lit streets, beachside settings, interior spaces, and what appears to be suburban Leonida all feature. Digital Foundry noted that while the images are stunning, they are likely curated promotional assets and may not fully represent real-time gameplay fidelity.

What the Screenshots Confirm

Taken together, the 63 screenshots confirm a level of visual and customisation detail well ahead of any previous GTA entry. They also continue Rockstar's strategy of releasing carefully controlled visual drips rather than live gameplay — keeping the most impressive moments in reserve for Trailer 3 and beyond.
