Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no Steam listing, no Epic Games Store page, and no official system requirements — because Rockstar has not announced a PC version at all. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed this directly, framing the console-first approach as standard for the studio's flagship releases.

Rockstar's Console-First History

This follows a clear pattern. Grand Theft Auto V launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, then arrived on PC in April 2015 — roughly 18 months later. Red Dead Redemption 2 took a similar route, landing on PS4 and Xbox One in October 2018 before a PC release in November 2019.

What Zelnick Said

While Zelnick stopped short of confirming a PC version outright, he acknowledged that Rockstar considers all platforms in its long-term planning. The console-first strategy allows the studio to focus its launch resources and support the PlayStation and Xbox ecosystems that represent the largest early installed base.

What PC Players Should Expect

Based on Rockstar's track record, a PC version of GTA VI is widely expected to arrive sometime in 2027 or 2028. Nothing is confirmed. PC players should plan around the console launch window and monitor Rockstar's official channels for any future announcement.
