Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders are live, the pricing is confirmed, and more than 60 new screenshots have been published — but a third official trailer from Rockstar remains nowhere to be seen. Fan expectations had peaked around the June 25 pre-order launch, with many assuming a new video would accompany the campaign's opening. It did not.

The Strategic Hold

Industry observers have widely framed the trailer's absence as deliberate. Rockstar correctly calculated that the GTA brand alone was sufficient to drive a significant pre-order surge without deploying a major marketing asset. By withholding Trailer 3 from the pre-order launch window, the studio preserves it as a separate event to sustain momentum across the summer months ahead of the November 19 release.

When Could It Drop?

No official date has been announced. Based on reporting from Forbes and other outlets, the most commonly cited projection is a late July to mid-August window. This would align with a traditional summer push designed to capture the back-to-school and gaming convention season before the final pre-launch sprint begins in September and October.

What Rockstar Did Release

Instead of a trailer, Rockstar released over 60 high-resolution screenshots alongside the pre-order launch — showing off character customisation, vehicles, weapons, and Vice City locations in significant detail. It was a substantial drop of visual content, just not the moving footage fans had hoped for.
